How To Install Custom WordPress Theme – Techgummy

Theme Installation Guide

We assumed that you have gotten your new WordPress theme which usually comes as a zipped file. The next thing you need to do is to log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the Appearance section and select theme: Appearance -> Themes

Head over to a button as highlighted ” Add New” to add a new theme. This will show another page called ” Upload Theme“, Click on the upload theme button.

This will open up a drop-down theme upload link and button as seen below. On clicking the Choose File button, a file upload pop-up will appear for you to select your purchased custom theme. After this selection, click on the install button to upload your theme.

In our case, for example, we uploaded a custom WordPress theme called beli as a zipped file and click the install button. This will automatically extract and install your custom WordPress theme. The final output will be that you have successfully installed the WordPress theme with its details such as the theme version as seen below.

In the case you want to immediately use the custom WordPress theme, click on activate as seen above and your theme and website will be live.
